Patchouli- sometimes called the Hippie Oil.
It is one of those oils, you will either love it, or HATE it.
Thankfully, there are ways to learn to love it, by pairing it with other oils you do like.
I love to pair Patchouli with Peppermint. I love to pair it with Geranium, I have done 8 drops Patchouli, 6 drops Geranium, and 3 drops of lemon and it is a great refreshing smell.
It makes the Patchouli milder and brings a nice smell to the combination. Patchouli is what we call in the perfume arena a smell fixative. Meaning even if you do not like it when you add it to something you like it will make the combination smell stronger and longer than if you left it out.
It is great for mood-boosting, has so many amazing properties. It is great for the skin and in many skin ointments. It is in our Abundance blend for supporting positive feelings and creating a mood shift.
I read it was to mask body odors and I was thinking…only problem is that is might become a body odor if you and others do not like the smell. lol!! You can wear it with the ones I mentioned and I believe everyone will love the way you smell. Or you can ROCK the HIPPIE SMELL, and OWN IT.
You might want a button that says, “I do not stink, I am wearing Patchouli oil. It is great for my mood and yours.” Special Education classroom teachers like to diffuse it to create a great learning environment. YL oils are pure, Patchouli is one I do not use unless I blend it in my favorite ways. It is more of a man smell to me. I have had one for 8 years and I am pleased to say it smells just like the one I got a few months ago. A pure oil will not change in smell, an adulterated oil will change in smell.
So how do you use Patchouli?
